Cobb GOP Hosts Presidential Hopeful Huckabee

Saturday, 08 September 2007 - Presidential hopeful Governor Mike Huckabee of Arkansas spoke to a crowded hanger at McCollum Airfield in Cobb County on Saturday morning. He addressed the crowd on issues concerning preventive health care, illegal immigration, replacing the current tax system with a consumption based tax, (for some reason, he avoided mentioning the Fair Tax ). The crowd was welcomed by District One Cobb County Commissioner Helen Gorham The audience also heard from Sadie Fields of the Georgia Christian Alliance and State Representative Ed Setzler , who introduced Mike Huckabee.

Govenor Huckabee, You did great Saturday morning. I feel you truly connected to those present Saturday morning. I had a seat right up front. I was encouraged to hear your down to earth message and abliity to make the crowd laugh. As you spoke about the vision you have for the presidency and America, tears came to my eyes.
